Behind the Lens

Another bus, another photo. Once again the side view of a bus, sitting by the window. Unlike the other photo, this is taken further out and focuses more on the seat in front. The colours and dots of light in the right middle ground reflect well onto the window and it's like you're seeing double. The darkness on the left hand side of the photo and at the bottom contrast to the light reflected on the metal handle bar and goes well with the casting of orange light in the right of the picture. Taken on iPhone 6 and edited in the apple photos app.

Spotted a smashed mirror on a walk. Taken at a low angle it brought the reflection up to eye-level and draws the eye across the frame. The reflection of the sky in the cracks contrasts with the dark background and highlights the smashed pieces. The littered glass around the edge of the frame ties in with the main image and bring the photo together. Taken on iPhone 6 and edited through the camera app.

This is a photo of a Virginia Cigarette box. Found while looking through old dusty objects in a family home i had to take a picture of it, it was classically vintage. Taken on a farm in Wexford, it captures the homely feel of being in a childhood home Surrounded by family. The warm yellow colour contrasts with the cool surrounds of the picture. The angle of the box and the boldness of the words on the front draws the eye across the picture and take it all in. This photo was taken on an iPhone camera and edited through Instagram.

This picture was taken on the inside of a bus. You can see the condensation on the window and the light reflecting through the glass and water, distorting the image. On the left there is the yellow of the bus seat which goes well with the yellow light in the bottom right corner of the image. The red light on the left gives the illusion of being a stoplight and the picture being taken from the outside, the colour goes well with the red of the car in the bottom right of the picture. I like how there is focus on the condensation on the glass and all the light coming through the window. The green light in the middle creates a center of focus and the angle of the window draws the eye along the picture. The Picture was taken using an iPhone lens and edited through        Instagram.
